Biography

Mr. Juan Kutz graduated with honours in High School and holds a degree in Law from the University of Navarra. He became a notary in 2002 and has since held numerous appointments and responsibilities in the notarial scope, both in Spain and internationally. He has published several studies regarding notarial matters and money laundering prevention. He is currently a member of the board of the Chamber of Notaries in Madrid, and he is in charge of the Historical Archives. Mr. Kutz participates in the International Section of the Spanish Notariat and has acted as a speaker at various international congresses and meetings. He currently holds the Presidency of the Working Group on anti-money laundering task force of the CNUE.

The representatives of EUROJUST will provide participants with an overview of the challenges faced by the EU judicial practitioners when accessing cross-border electronic evidence in criminal investigations, the emerging capacity-building needs in this area and the experience of SIRIUS project related to the development of resources in response to these challenges and needs. It will also explore the matters of handling, evaluation and admissibility of electronic evidence in cross-border cases, including the chain of custody of electronic evidence collected under foreign jurisdiction.

Biography

Teresa Magno is Italian criminal judge and joined Eurojust in February 2018. She was posted as Assistant to the National Member for Italy. She is member of the cyber crime working group at Eurojust. Prior to her appointment to Eurojust, she worked for 17 years as a criminal trial judge and preliminary investigation judge at the Tribunals of Marsala and Modena, and she was seconded for two years to the Ministry of Justice, where her main task was drafting observations of the Ministry in cases pending against Italy before the European Court of Human Rights. Ms Magno has been active since 2006 in training courses and initiatives for judges, prosecutors and LEAs in International and European judicial cooperation in criminal matters, EU law, international crimes, joint investigation teams, electronic evidence and cyber criminality. She has participated as speaker and national expert in many national, European and international conferences, seminars and working groups on international and European judicial cooperation in criminal matters, European criminal law and criminal procedure, European institutional and international law, international crimes, human rights, Italian criminal law and criminal procedure.

Biography

Computer Engineer and graduate in Political Science and Administration. Master in Computer Science and Technology. Since joining the Spanish Public Administration in 2011, her professional experience has focused mainly on the organization, management and supervision of training activities for public employees of the General State Administration and the Justice Administration, which has allowed her to become familiar with different training methodologies and acquire extensive experience in the design, coordination and delivery of training actions both online and face to face.
